Perfect Timing as MountainOffice Releases Version 1.9.1

MountainOffice Version 1.9.1 is here. This release completes MountainOffice’s transition from a Windows platform to a fully web-based system. It also introduces important enhancements to the Operations Logbook, as well as practical improvements in several other areas of the program.

Why does the timing matter? Mid-summer through early fall is the best window to bring MountainOffice online. I recommend starting with operating logbooks because they are straightforward to build and can be introduced during preseason training for lift mechanics, lift operators, vehicle mechanics, and groomer drivers. As employees begin using the system, they become comfortable with it and can provide feedback that improves the setup before the season begins.

Implementation support is included. With each purchase, Steep Management fully builds out one lift for you, including logbooks and maintenance orders based on the lift manufacturer’s manual. That setup can then serve as a template for the other lifts in your inventory, making it easier to customize each lift as needed.

Highlights in Version 1.9.1 include:

·         Logbooks

o   Add a ski area map, draw defined areas, and indicate lift status.

o   View the reconfigured Operating Logbook home page, including the calendar, status notifications, and overall logbook status.

o   Use the redesigned individual logbook pages to see both current-day information and relevant history from past logbooks.

o   Set notification parameters in the Administration area.

o   Use improved checklist tools to delete tasks, rearrange tasks, move tasks into folders, save checklists to the server, reuse them across lifts or equipment, and assign task intervals.

o   Share logbooks offline, similar to schedules.

·         MountainOffice

o   Qualification tracking has been brought online from the Windows version. In the new version, qualifications are attached to staff members through Addresses by Person; some guidance may be helpful during setup. This completes the final crossover from the Windows version.

·         Dashboard

o   The dashboard has been reconfigured with a widget menu, allowing users to display the status of logbooks and other MountainOffice systems in one place.

New System Dashboard, v1.9.1, allows maintenance and logbook activity review

·         Planning

o   Planning has been refined to make it easier to set up plans by structure, category, or responsible person.

·         Navigator

o   Navigator has been brought over from the Windows version. It allows users to break down a piece of equipment visually by component or part, with instructions included, making it a useful training tool.
